The what, when, and how of redemption.

The word redeem means ramson or the price paid to buy back something. In Christianity, redemption means that God offered His one and only Son to die for the sins of man and buy back man from the bondage. Galatians 3 vs 13-14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. From the scriptures, we can see that Christ redeemed humanity from the law’s curse through his death on the cross so that we might receive the promise of the spirit.
Humanity was redeemed from the curse of the law through the precious blood of Jesus as stipulated in the book of 1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
Redemption was for all iniquity, not for some
(Titus 3 vs 4-6). Nothing was asked of us in the redemption process; the price was paid on our behalf (Ephesians 1 vs 3-7). We are accepted before God through the blood of Jesus; Jesus Christ paid for us, and it’s only up to us to enjoy the benefits of redemption.
When: Our redemption started from the cross and was completed on the third day through Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Redemption wasn’t complete until Christ was risen from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 1 Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
How: The redemption of mankind was conducted by Jesus Christ when he offered his blood. Jesus Christ entered the most holy place to attain everlasting redemption of our sins as stipulated in Hebrews 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
